You Have to See This is a personal and social movie companion. It helps you remember what you’ve watched, loved, and own — and it helps you tell the people who matter about the movies they really need to see.

The idea

The best movie recommendation you’ll ever get is not from a streaming service or an anonymous crowd. It’s from someone who knows you: your sister, your best friend, your movie-obsessed uncle. We’re building the app that makes those recommendations first-class — with a lifecycle, a place to reply, and a way to remember what you thought after you watched.

What’s here now

The private alpha focuses on the personal foundation: your account, your profile, and the cinematic home base. The movie-tracking layer arrives in the next release, and the social recommendation layer follows once that’s solid.
